RABC Host Family - The Salmore's
Margaret Salmore and her family are host family to RABC Student Alexis
How did you hear about RABC? National Charity League
Why did you decide to be a Host Family? Because I I had been doing a lot of DEI (diversity, equity, & inclusion) at work as a teacher and I wanted to start being more active in my community.
What are you enjoying about the experience? It has been a very rewarding experience for myself and my whole family. I am helping to make a positive change in a young woman’s life.
What are some of the fun things you are doing with your RABC Student? Alexis is an easy going and talented young woman who goes with the flow with our busy family of 5. We often cook and bake together. Sometimes we go shopping in town or go for manicures. We will drive her to her volleyball practices , music lessons and try to cheer her on at some of her games. Last year we ventured into NYC during the holidays . We saw the VanGogh exhibit , had lunch by the seaport and then saw the tree at Rockefeller Center. Alexis is always up for anything .
